Applicant Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Chai Research Corp. ("CHAI", "we") handles the information you submit when you apply for a role through this site. It applies to job applicants only; if you use the Chai app, see our general privacy policy.

WHO WE ARE

Chai Research Corp. is a Delaware corporation located at 555 Hamilton Ave Ste 300, Palo Alto, CA 94301, United States. We build a consumer platform for social AI. For anything in this notice, contact hello@chai-research.com or our data protection officer at dpo@chai-research.com.

WHAT WE COLLECT

  • What you give us: your name, email address, LinkedIn profile (optional), and resume.
  • What is collected automatically: if you arrived from an ad, the advertising click identifier (e.g. Google's gclid) and standard measurement events via the Google Ads tag, so we can measure which ads reach good candidates.

HOW WE USE IT

  • To evaluate your application and contact you about it. We may use automated tools, including AI-assisted resume evaluation, to help prioritize review; hiring decisions are made by people.
  • To measure recruiting-ad performance: we report an anonymized conversion signal (an application quality score, not your identity, resume, or contact details) to Google Ads, tied to the ad click.
  • To notify our hiring team internally when an application arrives.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for anything unrelated to hiring.

WHERE IT LIVES

Applications are stored on Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States, with access restricted to the CHAI hiring team. Resumes are kept in private storage; nothing you submit is made public.

RETENTION & YOUR RIGHTS

We keep applications for up to two years so we can reach back out about future roles, then delete them. You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete what you've submitted — email dpo@chai-research.com and we'll handle it promptly.
